First Responder is specially designed for professional rescuers, such as Firefighters, Police, and First Response Teams; the non-medical professionals that are most likely to be the first trained people to arrive at the scene, such as Lifeguards, Ski Patrol, Coaches and Trainers.

• Primary survey
• Secondary survey (enhanced)
• Baseline vitals such as blood pressure and pulse rate
• Airway emergencies including choking and rescue breathing
• Oxygen delivery including breathing devices
• Airway insertion
• All levels of basic cardiac life support (CPR)
• Introduction to Public Access Defibrillation
• Assessing and treating cardiac emergencies ? Bleeding & shock
• Soft Tissue Injuries including Burns, Frostbite, Wounds
• Musculoskeletal injuries
• Head & spine injuries
• Spinal boards, splints, cervical collars, and other specialized equipment
• Sudden Medical Conditions including Heart Attack, Stroke, Diabetic emergencies, Seizures, Child birth
• Poisons
• Moving casualties
• Multiple casualty incidents
• Assisting when Paramedics arrive
• OPTIONAL CONTENT: AUTOMATED EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATION (AED) PROGRAM CERTIFICATION
